A highly organized, perceptive problem solver with deep experience in legal research and project management who can seamlessly communicate with internal staff, clients, legal teams and external organizations.
At Gray Space Strategies, Emily manages all the administrative functions and paralegal duties in the office. She works closely with team members to create detailed client reports, compile research and facilitate communication to ensure projects achieve their established outcomes.
For more than a decade, Emily has worked in some of the most country’s challenging legal environments. Most recently, she worked as a Senior Legal Support Specialist for Zumba, an internationally renowned fitness program where she preserved and protected the brand integrity in the face of ongoing threats to trademark infringements. Here she collaborated with the IP team to execute projects for litigation and anti-counterfeiting matters and escalated international and large-scale issues to legal counsel.
Prior to that position she worked for as a Case Management Specialist/Paralegal for a Florida law firm specializing in foreclosures during the financial crisis. She supported 15 attorneys – initiating the retrieval of filings from the courts and securing documents for the SEC. She streamlined the file retrieval process with the development and implementation of a system defining processes, contacts and requirement of each court.
She began her career at the King’s County District Attorney’s Office, Brooklyn, New York where she assisted the Assistant District Attorney and various staff investigating and prosecuting criminal cases.
Emily holds a Master of Public Administration from NOVA Southeastern University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science, Justice Studies, Berkeley College.
