Nick is the current chair of the WV Worker Compensation Board of review and the former Chief of Staff to the Governor of West Virginia, with extensive experience advising business organizations and entrepreneurs on legal matters related to entity selection, governance, taxation, funding, contractual relations, operations, human resources and transition issues.

The recent West Virginia legislative changes in the duties of the Worker Compensation Board, transforming it effective July 1, 2022 from being an intermediate appellate body to an administrative hearing body, has been his primary focus.

Prior to government service, Nick had 35-plus career at the firm of Lewis Glasser Casey & Rollins. As a practicing attorney Nick has extensive experience in matters related to employers and employees, the State and Federal regulation of taxes and the practice of health care, particularly pharmacy practice. He also led a statewide political organization and served as Chairman of a nonprofit hospital board.

Nick has an Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky and a Juris Doctor from West Virginial University College of Law. He has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Charleston, WV School of Pharmacy and at the West Virginia University College of Law.
